Paper Bag Albums

So my good friend Patsy has me hooked on these
cute and easy Paper Bag Albums!

This one is called a
Matchbook Album
because it opens like a book of matches!

The idea came from Kathy Orta and of course I had to make one.
Actually I've made about half a dozen because my aunt loved them
and bought some to keep on hand as presents!

They are super easy and quick to make.
All you need is 6 paper bags, I used the ones from Michael's that are found
in the giftwrap section, a pack of 6x6 paper for whatever theme you are wanting,
at least one 12x12 piece of coordinating paper to make the cover out of, and
another solid color for the back cover.  Of course embellishments and ribbon are
also a good idea to add that special touch.

I also got this paper bag album idea via Patsy, but I'm not sure where she got the idea,
but when I find out, I will post it for you!

Again, this album is made with 6 paper bags, but unlike the previous one,
You don't unfold the bag so it's actually about 2 inches smaller in height.

There are lots of places for photos (see the tags with the ribbons?) and plenty
of places to do some journaling and store little keepsakes.

Again I bought a 6x6 paper pack and a 12x12 for the cover.  This one also
requires cardboard for the covers, so be sure to have some on hand.

For this one, I bought the coordinating stickers, some were flat,
some were the cardboard type, and added them throughout the album.
I also bought a small pack of canvas (Hobby Lobby has them in the painting areas)
and attached a piece of coordinating paper to the sticky part (inside) and used it to make
a spine.  I believe I cut a piece that was 3-4 inches wide and just a little taller than the height
so I could punch a boarder and trim it once I had it attached.
But you could do something different like rings or ribbon,
I just thought this was easier and you can paint or ink it to match the book!

I will be making some this weekend and hope to post them for sale, but if
you want one for something specific, I will try my best to do it for you!

Something New!

Hello Friends!!!

I have really been trying to keep with my my blogging/website, but
sometimes this job just takes over!

I have lots of things going on, including a new Page to my website called

Quotable Signage!

All the signs are carved onto a piece of wood that is approximately 12" or 18" long.
You can purchase ones that are pre-made from the website or
you can get a customized sign.
House number/address......family name.....kids name.... whatever you can think of!

Customized signs may cost more depending on size of quote.

I have also joined....
 What is It Works!?

Every hear of those Crazy Wrap Things?
Well those are part of the ItWorks! products.

I personally did 2 wraps, one per week, and lost over 2" in my waist each time!
I am also using the water supplement called Greens which has
38 fruits, vegetables and minerals ground up into a fine powder
that you added to your bottle of water.

About those Crazy Wrap Things.....
they are so easy to use....

Only 3 simple steps...

Step 1.   Open.
Step 2.  Unfold.
Step 3.  Apply.

It's that easy!  Then just sit back for a least 45 minutes,
drink some of your daily recommended water and let the wrap do it's magic!

There is also a great line of supplements and facial care if you just want to stay healthy.

Please check out my website at

January Card Swaps!

January Card Swap!!

We had a great time eating Mexican food and chatting at the swap this month.
It took a little longer to post the pic of the cards cause I was waiting on 2 more
that made cards but couldn't make the swap.

The first card on the top row doesn't quite look right and that's because
I got a craving for chocolate and ate the ones that were on the
"tray" of the card!!  It had 3 Hershey Nuggets wrapped in cute paper.
Sorry Michele, I ruined your cute card!!!  :)

Top Row:  Michele, Casey and Karen
Middle Row:  Loretta, CeCe, Mary and Patsy
Bottom Row:  Susan, Amanda and Melissa

Our next Swap is in February!
The theme is 'Masculine' and participants
are welcome to use any sentiment they want.

I think we may start doing some different types of cards in March!
Maybe using a certain product or embellishment, or maybe a technique or sketch,
just to get people to come out of their box, so to speak!

Also, starting in February, you are NOT required to include an envelope with your card
unless you want to.  I figure everyone has envelopes so why swap those??  :)

Be sure to find us on FaceBook and join the
Scraptabulous Crops & Swaps
so you don't miss out on our Events!

Happy Crafting!

Cute Card and Projects

Well this new job has me pretty busy every day except the weekends, and even then I am
busy cleaning house, washing clothes and keeping up with 3 little mutts!
My step-mom is in Alaska for the holidays visiting her son, so I have her mutt too!

Meet Samantha!  She is a long-haired Dachshund like Rocki.
She isn't used to all the "apartment" noise around here, so I can't wait to get
her and the other 2 back to the farm!!

I haven't had alot of time for crafting, except for the Crops each month, but I did make
a few Christmas presents and cards.  The one for dad I already wrapped, so whenever he opens it, I will post it for ya!!

This one I made for my Aunt whose friend's are having twins!
Love the little baby in the pot!!

This one I made for my friend Denise for her birthday!
I hope she liked it!!
Thanks for the idea kessi75.blogspot.de

This is an acrylic frame that I slid a 5x7 sheet of Stampin' Up paper in,
die cut the tag, then punched the center out and adhered the wording from the back
side and attached a small clothes pin!  Then I attached a 3x3 PostIt note pad with
hot glue, added a pen with Velcro and of course wrapped it with the 1'1/4 in Grosgrain ribbon!
Simple and cute gift for anyone's desk!
(violetpaperwings.blogspot.com)

This 3-owled tree card was requested by a friend!  I found it on Pinterest and
of course had to make it!  I've made one other for another friend, but that time I
inked up the wood bark embossing folder with brown ink before I ran it through the
Big Shot and it turned out even better!!!  A lady at our Crops showed me the technique
and I love it...  Need to use it on more cards because it just makes them pop!!

Well, I hope to have a little more free time after the first of the year (even thought that might
not happen) so I can do more cards and try to post on here for sale or orders!

I hope everyone has a great Holiday Season!!

Happy Crafting!!
